about

In the 1960ś there was a Texan who flew helicopters for the U.S. Army. In that same unit was a crewman from Missouri. The crewman was Iron Mike´s father, and the Texan was Kris Kristofferson. This song is a tribute to those men.

lyrics

Take the ribbons from your hair
Shake it loose and let it fall
Laying soft against my skin
Like the shadow on the wall

Come and lay down by my side
Till the early morning light
All I´m taking is your time
Help me make it through the night

I don´t care what´s right or wrong
I don´t try to understand
Let the devil take tomorrow
Lord, tonight I need a friend

Yesterday is dead and gone
And tomorrow´s outta sight
And it´s bad to be alone
Help me make it through the night

I don´t care what´s right or wrong
I don´t try to understand
Let the devil take tomorrow
Lord, tonight I need a friend

Yesterday is dead and gone
And tomorrow´s outta sight
And it´s bad to be alone
Help me make it through the night

I don´t care what´s right or wrong
I don´t try to understand
Let the devil take tomorrow
Lord, tonight I need a friend

Yesterday is dead and gone
And tomorrow´s outta sight
And it´s bad to be alone
Help me make it through the night
